First the conservatory
My name is Ninia Lazaar. I grew up in Tbilisi, Georgia, and began performing as a soloist with orchestras at the age of six. In 1987 I started my studies at the Tbilisi State Conservatory, where I was taught by international masters and won several awards. In addition to a busy international career, I am a qualified violin teacher and regularly give masterclasses. I also work as an examiner.

Concerts and violin lessons
During my conservatory studies I specialized in violin methodology, focusing on both young talent and advanced students. As a professional musician I perform with ensembles and orchestras. In addition to my love for classical music I have a passion for Argentine tango (such as Astor Piazzolla), world music and baroque music.
I consider the violin a “quirky” instrument: you have to build a relationship with it and fall in love with it. For me, music is a mirror of the heart and soul. Do you also have a passion for music, especially the violin? Then I warmly invite you to play violin together!
